CREST COMPANY SUMMER OUTING

Summer is about having fun under the heat of the sun, isn’t it? But when you talked about fun, there’s a lot of ways to do it. And mostly, we enjoy much if we have companies, usually with families, friends and also with workmates. That’s why Crest Forwarder Inc. where I was employed organized the annual summer outing which was held at the Ranch Resort Toledo City, Cebu last May 1-2, 2015.

"When you start out in a team, you have to get the teamwork going and then you get something back."said by Michael Schumacher. A thought that tickles my mind when I knew that CREST is going to have the annual summer outing. The said event was properly planned by the HR department who were mainly in-charge of the preparation. We were grouped into four (4) teams; Team JYP (Red), Team DGP (Orange), Team VST (Blue), and Team JZG (Green). Each team was composed of employees from different departments of Crest Cebu including the other two (2) branches - Cagayan and Davao. This is to create camaraderie and strengthen the teamwork of the employees. All teams should present a short cheering presentation and this will serve as a competition. So, a week before the outing, everybody really allotted time to have a serious practice for their cheering in order to win. We were all excited that time for the upcoming event.

Here comes the outing day, when we finally arrived at the resort, everyone was hyped and excited upon seeing the pool that seems calling us to swim and dive and also with its pleasing environment. But before that, we still have to go straight to the function room to have lunch together. After getting the tummies filled, we went to our designated rooms and had some break. Around 1pm in the afternoon, we were all gathered in the open space near the pool to start the activities. Games! Games! Games! That’s what we did during that time. Team VST (blue team) dominated in winning the games followed by team JYP (red team), then team DGP (orange team) and lastly by team JZG (green team).
